Jeremy’s building career started in 2001 when he had decided to ditch his suit, tie and the marketing manager job that went with it and took up an adult apprentice building job. He learnt his trade working for a craftsman builder who specialised in renovating old villas.
When Jeremy completed the apprenticeship he teamed up with Justin to start Outdoor Design and Build.
Jeremy is married to Mary and they have three children. When they are not out camping they can usually be found waterskiing or fishing.

Justin’s interest in building started when he completed a log building course in 1993 with the aim to build his own log home. He built a log cabin first - now operating as a homestay called Tree Hut Cottage. Later he completed a larger family log home on the same property.
He still has strong interests in log building and is currently vice president of the Log Builders Association of New Zealand. He also sits on the board at Wainuioru School and is a Trustee for the Masterton Licensing Trust.
Justin decided to go into business in 2003 with his brother Jeremy after they could see a market in the Wairarapa for “hard landscaping”. He is now a qualified builder and loves the variety of work that comes with the job and the interaction with their clients.
Justin is married to Adie. They have three young children. He plays hockey in the winter, does the odd bit of trail bike riding and each year competes in the Taupo Round the Lake relay race with a bunch of mis-fits. He also spends time developing his lifestyle block and home in the Pakaraka’s.

Dave has been with ODB since early 2007. He spent nine years in Napier although schooled locally and played rugby for Marist.
Before starting with ODB he spent 3-4 years helping develop Totara Bank, a sub-division on the outskirts of Masterton. Here he established paths and roading, planted blocks of native trees fully irrigated, built stone bridges and maintained the site. He also developed many skills with a digger.
Dave spent some time in England where he learnt and became accomplished at Random and Dry Stone Walling. He also worked on converting barns into workshops and repairing the traditional English Hedgerows.
Dave and his partner Brenda have two young children. He plays cricket in the Summer and is involved with the Hash House Harriers, although not sure if running is his motivation here! Dave also spends the odd weekend doing installations for Sky so you may have already seen him running about on your roof.
